The party jam of the century - Wow, this Cd is a wild ride filled with house party jams that your kids won t soon forget as soon as you refill their prescription for their ADD problem. I have some great parties where my friends come over and we play world of warcraft and drink mountain dew all night. I totally can t sleep after that! We like music that the establishment calls easy listening music. It s easy because it s freaking awesome! I heard Jessie when I was back in college dating a girl named Amie and it was the perfect song for us with the exception of the name. We would listen to this disc as we drove around Nebraska looking at cornfields and guessing how many grubworms were in a particular crop. It was romantic and beautiful like this disc. I m going to have a Christmas party at my house and we re thinking some girls may show up because World of Warcraft is becoming the cool thing to play. I m going to let everyone soak in the scene for a bit before busting out some J Kad(That s what I call Joshua Kadison). Once that happens, the party will go into second gear. I m so attractive it s ridiculous so if you combine a World of Warcraft bash, with J Kad and some Mountain Dew, I think we all know it s going to be a good night for the Bpimp. Thus is my life. Average tried to crash one of my parties last year and I unleashed the hounds on him.

Memories - I still remember 1993 when Jessie was released and my parents traveled the US with me for the first time, I was 4, and this song used to be on the radio all the time when we drove through California and Nevada and many other states on our first big US trip (I am from Germany) and my mom used to love Jessie as well as Postcards from L.A. Back home my mom bought the album and I grew up listening to the beautiful songs by this very talented man. When I grew older we would still listen to this album in the car and slowly I started to understand the lyrics and thus appreciated the songs even more, now being able to grasp the wonderful stories that Joshua Kadison tells in his songs.I practically grew up listening to these songs and they have a special place in my heart (especially Mama s arms, sad, but truly beautiful, Beautiful in my eyes and Painted Desert Serenade)All the songs on this album are wonderful, but I feel like these three move me the most and are some of Kadison s all-time best.I guess, this album is for everyone who enjoys romantic easy-listening music that makes your day a little better just by listening and who likes to listen to stories told with melodies that move the heart. This album has also become a meomory of the US to me and for me they are all-American songs that represent the modern American Dream, so every time I listen to this album I am reminded how much I love the country that I first saw at the age of four and that this music is part of this memory. His third album Vanishing America is in the same style with more wonderful songs to make you dream and even more music.

Songs for the soul - While Joshua may not have reached the pop star fame of others like Richard Marx - Greatest Hitsand Michael Bolton - Greatest Hits 1985-1995 He certainly isn t lacking in the soulful ballads and songs that tug at your heart. He voice is soothing and his music beautiful!

Just for making easy listening cool - I don t ever hand out a 5-star rating lightly, but this album earns it hands down, first ballot, no contest, #1 with a bullet. It starts with the sweet, poignant, and incredibly pretty Jessie (which nearly earned the 5 by itself) and just smoothly sails from there. The thing that really stands out is that, like all great artists, Kadison finds the perfect balance. Never too syrupy, bland, gentle, sappy, or preachy. Some tracks, especially Mama s Arms, incorporate a gospel overtone without being overtly (and annoyingly) religious. On top of that, it just sounds really really nice, and who doesn t appreciate that?(Seriously, though, I *never* say that a single song makes the album worth owning, and I m telling you, Jessie makes this worth owning. That says something right there.)

Good CD - It s a good Cleaning the house CD..if you know what i mean.. wink wink
